What is Edlyft CS Support?

Equipping underrepresented women with CS resources

Students engage in weekly group sessions to deepen understanding of key concepts, peer mentorship, and networking opportunities with top tech industry experts.This unique initiative is dedicated to empowering Black, Latinx, and Native women in pursuit of an education in computer science and provides the leverage you need to break into tech.

Program eligibility

Designed for students from historically underrepresented communities interested in careers in tech

Currently enrolled in a university undergraduate program

Currently taking a Computer Science class or pursuing a Major/Minor in Computer Science or related technical field

Can commit to at least 1 hour a week during the Fall 2023 semester

We heavily encourage women who self-identify as: Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, and/or Native American

What does the time commitment look like?

1-2 hours a week for the length of the Fall semester

Who can apply ? Is this relevant for me if I'm not a computer science or Engineering major?

Anyone who meets the following requirements:
Currently taking a Computer Science class or pursuing a Major/Minor in Computer Science Interested in entering the tech industry

If you don’t meet these requirements, you can still sign up for Edlyft’s Discord to hear about future opportunities.

Am I eligible if I'm a graduating senior or an international student?

Yes, we are accepting graduating seniors and international students who are attending school in the U.S.

What if I’m new to CS?

Wonderful! We are excited that you are pursuing Computer Science! We are eager to support you on your CS journey whether this will be your first class or 20th!
